vera* – Trust Point for Art and Culture
vera* is here for everyone working in the arts and culture sector who has experienced – or is experiencing – boundary violations, abuse of power, harassment or any form of violence.
We offer a safe and confidential space for both those affected and those who have witnessed such incidents – regardless of their role, experience or employment status – to speak out, reflect and begin turning silence into action.
We hear you.
If you work in the arts and culture field and have been directly or indirectly affected by physical, emotional or sexualised boundary violations, you can turn to us for confidential support.
We take your experience seriously and help you find clarity, stability and guidance tailored to your personal situation – always free of charge, confidential and independent.
Who We Are
vera* – Trust Point for Art and Culture was established in close collaboration with stakeholders from the arts and culture sector as an independent contact point for people affected by, or witness to, boundary-violating behaviour in the field.
At the heart of our work is listening and creating a space where experiences can be acknowledged, understood and named. We support individuals in making sense of what they’ve been through and explore possible courses of action together.
At the same time, vera* is deeply committed to driving long-term cultural change within the sector. Such change is only possible when institutions take responsibility. That’s why we’re continuously expanding our prevention and awareness-raising initiatives.
What We Do
As a trust point, our work focuses on three key areas:
Confidential counselling by qualified experts – professional, discreet, and anonymous if desired.
Support in making sense of what has happened and identifying possible courses of action.
Awareness-raising in collaboration with decision-makers in arts and cultural institutions to help foster lasting change towards a respectful working environment.
